True cramps are rarely something that can be played through. It's some of the most excruciating pain you can experience and the continuous muscle contraction doesnt allow for normal use of muscle groups.

So much of this.

Also, a torn Achilles is much like a torn ACL in that the worst pain isn't felt immediately. Kobe tore part of his Achilles, he didn't sever the tendon, and thus was still able to walk.

My favorite is the Heat fans defending him.

"But, but, cramps are SO much worse!

"He had to get an IV for the cramp, it was that bad"

"Y'all need to stop bringing up the flu game. That shite isn't relevant."

"Lebron is obviously working harder than anyone else on the court, so of course he would get hurt. Y'all don't understand."

A bad muscle cramp is much tougher to walk on than a torn achilles immediately when it happens, unless in the achilles is completely torn from the muscle in which case its impossible to walk.

Much easier to play with the flu. The flu doesn't physically prevent your legs from working.

Lebron covers more ground in a given game than anyone in the league, his body generate a ton of heat. He is easily the most likely player to cramp in a game like this.

Incorrect.

The Spurs players cover more ground due to the nature of their motion offense.

Lebron covers more ground based on what he is asked to do. He is both a primary ballhandler and frequently guards the oppositions best perimeter player.

They actually did a sports science thing about it once. Lebron covers about 1.3x as much ground in a given game as the average player. The average player cover about 2.7 miles in a given game, and an average player with his minutes covers about 3. Lebron frequently covers 3.5+ miles in a game.

I swear if I had a control to the drawer where they locked the tactical nukes at Whiteman, I would drop one on each and every Heat fan whinning about how the JJ's did not win that game but LeBron was not playing so was not true win.

I swear to Allah, I will rob a Pizza Hut of one of its table cloths. Wrap that shite on my head. Then yell Allah Ahkbar and do some shady shite by end of this series if this is how they act after every loss.

I will earn #FOTY

I usually do not but it is the idiots that think the Spurs are dog trash and that the Heat actually won that trophy without help last year that piss me off.

And there've been several articles this season and postseason detailing how the Spurs' players travel further than players on any other team. I'm not saying that LeBron doesn't cover a lot of ground, but SA's players go farther than any other team's players in the league.

The Euro offense makes you move and cover more footage than any other in NBA. But if you are talking avg per step etc...I think LeBron hs it.

I think Lebron's has a lot to do with his ridiculous stride, he covers a ton of ground in a very short time period. He can get from halfcourt to the rim in under 2 seconds.

I'm no doctor, but wouldn't playing through severe cramps be pretty risky for his health for the remainder of the series? In addition to being damn near impossible.

Spurs played pretty bad this game. So many dumb unforced turnovers, missed open shots, and bad perimeter defense. On the other hand, I wouldn't expect TP to shoot 100% from 3 again.

Should be a fun series and I hope Kawhi/Green keep their 4th quarter momentum going into game 2.

ETA: You can't play with extreme cramps. Lebron shouldn't be catching flak for that. Though Gatorade seemed to enjoy it. LINK

So I've been watching way too many draft express videos the past couple of days and I actually was tracking the Adidas Eurocamp pretty thoroughly yesterday. I need help.
