he will not be the sole owner, he would buy the team with a group of other people sharing the cost with him. now he would probably be the most visible owner of the group and therefore people would associate him with sole ownership and that would funny as frick considering sterlings comments on black people

This is how the Grizz are set up since Michael Heisley (RIP) sold the team last year.

yep. for years he had a minority stake in the lakers. I have no idea if that's still the case. I believe kareem also had a minority stake with him in the team. not sure about that still being true either. magic is also a minority owner of the dodgers

Yeah I remember when this was going on.
Our majority owner, Robert Pera, is a badass. He is only like 34 and worth more than guys like Mark Cuban. He built this badass full court basketball gym right next to his office building and challenged Tony Allen to a 1 on 1 event for charity. Plus he is trying give free wi-fi to everyone in the world.

The Grizzlies previous owner passed away before the game Saturday. They've been telling stories and playing clips of him on the radio.
