Individuals will have to have a FFL to sell a gun online and if you sell guns for profit you may be considered a dealer.

Here's the statement from the horse's mouth.
quote:
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is making clear that it doesn’t matter where you conduct your business—from a store, at gun shows, or over the Internet: If you’re in the business of selling firearms, you must get a license and conduct background checks.
This is already the law. In order to sell a new firearm you MUST possess an FFL. Here's the "gun show loophole" or whatever you want call it. Private sales of used firearms between individuals is undocumented and remains unchanged by anything Barry babbled on about today. Changing this requires changing the law. Congress does this, I believe, not the ATF.

Need to buy Barry a drink if ever I get the chance - he just made me nearly 15% in the last couple of days.

Few more steps if you purchase items that require that's tax stamp and you use the trust/corporation process, otherwise just more planned spending for the government.

I made an online purchase through an auction a week before Christmas and after mailing the check (which is a lot cheaper than CC) and FFL paperwork it was just sent out yesterday and should be here at my local FFL dealer for pickup on Thursday.
When I pick it up there's a little paperwork and photocopy of my CCL and a small fee for the transfer and I'm out the door with it.
The point is nothing is fast about buying a firearm online at all.
It's not 1968 when you could order a monkey and a shotgun from the back of a sports field magazine at the same time to your house. It did happen.
