I'm intending to start it tomorrow.

Is it worth watching? FWIW, I watched the old series.

45 mins of laying out the cases with no resolution at the end.

Robert Stack would be proud.

The first episode was fantastic. I definitely think his old college buddy knows something. The second and third were so-so. That’s as far as I’ve gotten.

I think they have done a really good job making it feel like the same show. I binged season one, and now I’m watching the original series on YouTube. It’s interesting to rewatch it and see the interviews and the reinactments.

I generally eat this shite up but this series was not good. Not good at all.

So, how do you think Rivera wound up where he did? He certainly couldn’t have jumped or been thrown that far.

(Spoilers)

He could have jumped from the inside part. Not the tip top. I read some internet sleuths breakdowns and apparently he had been showing some weird signs a few weeks before everything happened. Personality and keeping busy can mask depression.

The strange thing was the abrupt phone call and dashing out the door like that.

I can see that a pair of glasses might not have much velocity landing on the membrane roof like that, so that’s fairly explainable. Same with the sandals flying off.

The college friend is very suspicious, but nothing’s proven there.

A grieving wife will always remember the best parts and remember him in the best way, but from what I read, he had been extremely over protective and acting crazy recent to the death.

It’s definitely up for debate, but the show purposely is going to make it seem more foul play than suicide because that’s the brand of the show.

Short of being catapulted, there’s just no angle that supports the idea that Rivera could have jumped or been thrown with enough velocity to reach the area marked in red, from any level of the building. I think the show established that.

The white ledge? Couldn’t run and jump from there? I think that’s probably only 15-20 ft. That angle + the distance down he could make, but I’m just pointing out the possibility of it. Certainly not the probability

That creepy bastard Rob from ep2, that was carrying around the dead wife's skull and sleeping with her ashes, is guiltier than Carol Baskin

First, he would have to have had the intention, which doesn’t make sense. Second, he would have to run the ledge and then jump awkwardly to the right to even approach the other building’s roof which was far below. That would reduce his momentum significantly. Finally, from the visual perspectives offered on the show, it would be impossible for a jumper to hit the front building from any part of the main hotel building.

I personally don’t see how it was done without the use of an aircraft.

I wish they had talked a little more about the condition of the body or of the hole in the roof.

You would think if he jumped and tore the hole in the roof, there would have been blood/tissue/etc. on the edges where he went through as well as his body having a lot of broken bones/other trauma from busting the hole.

The lady in Georgia, the husband probably had her killed. I would be curious if any of his friends had a blue Taurus or Lumina.

The kid in Kansas, someone at the party knows what happened. I think some of his "friends" know what happened.

The guy in France probably committed suicide.

The UFO episode seemed a bit hokey.

The mom had something to do with the daughter's disappearance because the daughter knew about killing the husband, as well as the mom wanted to raise the grandson.
