What's it like these days?
We haven't been down there in 7 or 8 years and my wife wants to go for New Years and stay somewhere around Bourbon St. Recommendations on good food and drink would be appreciated as well, TIA

Well, Cafe du Monde is an absolute must. Their beignets are amazing. It's been over 20 years since I've been, but we LOVED the aquarium. You need to get to Pat O'Brien's for a hurricane and also to Tropical Isle/Funky Pirate for a hand grenade.

I don't know about all that. I do now know that the medical shite hits different.

Always stop in at POBs for a Hurricane. Will check out the other places.
