Mississippi river flowed backward too at one point.
Regardless of it being rare, that teacher was still wrong when he said that.

Wrong in a way but only sorta. India being the “subcontinent” is a known thing even if you didn’t know about it.

Wrong period. You had to derive the way the river was flowing based on some drawing. I found it to be South to North. He did not specify what river it was, the elevations of points, etc. So, my answer wasn't wrong, he did not provide enough information to make N to S the only answer
He gave me the points back by the way cause he knew I was right.

He was tryin to argue it was separate from Asia though, its own thing essentially, which is not correct.

Wow so that collision created/is creating the Himalayas. Neat.

The Himalayas affect weather in Africa? How? Wind blows left to right.
That was a theory I read, but a bit of research shows that theory has now been dumped for axial tilt. The Earth changes its tilt from 22 degrees to 24.5 degrees over the course of 41000 years. Right now we are at a tilt that causes the Sahara to be dry and has pushed the African monsoon further South.
Also there is considerable new evidence that hominids left Africa much earlier then previously thought. 1.8 million years ago instead of 1 million years ago.

Which is weird... cause I'm watching the st johns river flow north right now. It has been often theorized that this phenomena is directly related to georgia sucking so much

I would be surprised if such a switch has ever slimmed anyone down
Now combined with diet and exercise....
