yes she is still alive she came home with me last night vets got her on tramadol and some type of paste substance that has to be shot into her mouth
she wasn't in pain so vets said it had to be a dry bite you could see the marks on side of her nose . but she really had me worried on the way to the vet yesterday as she was doing nothing but pooping herself and trying to go to sleep

Glad to hear she is recovering. Pets are awesome.

My favorite dog when I was growing up was bitten by a rattlesnake. It is damn scary when it happens to your pet. I'm glad to hear it was dry bite and she's doing well.

On the nose? Yow. Good luck.
When I lived in Texas, our dog got bitten on the leg. At that time, (mid-60's) the vet basically said, "well, maybe she'll make it or maybe not - nothin' I can do").
She hid in a dark quiet room for a week, her leg turned black and swelled up, then she gradually got better and recovered completely.
I hope your pup has an easier time.

yep her face is swelled some but we took her to emergency vet last night vets could see marks on her nose but they said in their opinion it looked like it was a dry bite. they gave her pain meds and some type of paste
only thing she was doing after the bite was pooping herself and beginning to become so drowsy she could barely keep her eyes open we took her to emergency vet last night and they said since she didn't seem to be in pain it mustve been a dry bite

Glad your dog is going to be okay. That’s a scary experience.

All of my shorthairs have been snake proofed prior to hunting in Texas for that very reason.
