Wow... And I thought I was the only one who knew of 116.....
Seen Lecrae twice

You could tell he hated the rap music. He was a black country boy that was trying too hard to fit in with the urban crowd.
That really must have sucked for him. I don't hate rap or hip hop, but I only listen to the stuff that that I legitimately like.

Whites embraced him fine, but you could tell that he desperately wanted to be embraced by the black community at TAMU.
I know how it feels to feel like you're on the outside looking in in that situation. Especially being an officer in the TAMU College Republicans during the '08 elections Curiously, I got less backlash from that (most black students I encountered respected me for making up my own mind about politics) than from a couple of loose black females when they figured out I wasn't going to get involved with them
It's a weird situation. Gotta be very secure in oneself to keep from just trying to fit in to your own detriment. My little brother has encountered the same thing (but is doing well, thankfully).

Got that song on loop right now
Idina Menzel just obliterated that song. Amazing

I've seen Flame live. That's all I've gotten to see, though. Crae and Canon did a show at a church 15 minutes from me but I was working.
ETA: Crae's "I'm turnt" release had me making strange faces the beat was so sick. Pretty sure I just "nasty faced" that whole track. The people with soul know what I mean.

Hey, people may not know/admit it, but we have a nice little niche carved out and aren't going anywhere
On a related note, though, I'd sure like for Jesus to tell me the reason he blew a blizzard through Missouri the night the missus and I were supposed to go up to KC to catch Winter Jam. Ended up having to stay home because it was too dangerous to travel. I'm not over it yet
Wanna see the Newsboys in concert again. Haven't seen 'em since Michael Tait took over for Furler. I miss that Aussie sound

Actually the first concert I went to, we were the first ones in line by like 45 mins. Me and my youth minister are big guys and one of the guys working was like...
Will y'all do security for the stage
Hell yeah we will... Backstage passes, talked to him for like 20 mins... Super cool guy

His older stuff is a lot better IMO... Send Me probably has some of the best lyrics of them all... And Don't Waste Your Life is just flat out filthy

quote:I'm a huge fan of the Overdose release. I do like Send Me, though. Overdose just has Check-In, Killa, Blow Your High, etc. That album hit home for me. More-so for the lyrical content.

ETA: But if we're talking filthy...
This beat should be illegal.

It's impossible not to move a part of your body while listening to that song. I wanna meet the person that can listen to that and sit still.

Even a Walking Dead zombie woulda stumbled to the beat on that one
ETA: What a random little impromptu Christian music revival at an ironically ungodly hour
