Heading there in October for about 4 days. Already looking at the Budweiser tours, Blues Museum, and Arch. What else would you recommend? Places to eat? Places/areas to avoid?
TIA
TIA

The Arch is cool. Hit it on the windiest cloudiest day possible.

I'll be there on a Saturday, too. Of course pending game time but any suggestions on where to watch a game?

The Arch is neat. The city museum is fun for all ages, the st louis zoo If you want take a short drive through wine country its not to far maybe 30 mins to 45 mins. The east st louis area is where all the strip clubs are but also the east side has been ranked one of the nations most dangerous cities in America depending areas to stay away from are north county/north st louis.

I was there a few weeks ago. Go to a Cards game. Great stadium

Grant's Farm is really cool too. It's where they keep the Budweiser Clydesdales. They have a birds-of-prey show that is cool. Train ride for the kids.
The science museum is a must see.
The arch is ok - and you get a good look at the Cardinals stadium from the top.
Weather in October will be great. Enjoy yourself!

30s, no kids coming, love sporting events, museums, breweries, history, etc. As food goes, I love BBQ (will head to Pappys if I have time) and will eat just about anything otherwise. Wife only eats poultry as meat goes so as long as it's a place with either chicken or turkey on the menu, we're good.

Blues game at scottrade would be cool. They're doing a renovation there this year. The Budweiser tour is neat. There is a Italian community in St. Louis called the hill. It is well known for its authentic Itallian food. It's a must. My two favorite places are Charlie gitto's and zia's. If you're into gambling, the lumiere is a really nice casino downtown.

Go to Schlafly's. It's an awesome brewery.

Go to a Blues game.
Attractions: Arch, city museum, Busch stadium/ ballpark village, 360 bar, forest park
breweries:AB, Urban chestnut(grove location) Schlaflys(maplewood location) 4 hands, center ice
Food: Go to the hill. enough said about that.
Urban chestnut

City Museum
st louis cathedral
Also Forest park is a bigger Central park, but pretty much the same thing. St Louis Zoo is there too, its free and also ranked right around San Diego zoo as the best zoo in america. Also there is about a dozen other attractions. You could spend a whole day in that park.
If you have time, maybe hit up fast eddies bon air. very cool bar, with dirt cheap food.
*disclaimer*: Last, dont go a foot north of Washington avenue.

Second Urban chestnut in the Grove. Great beer hall vibe and good food. Side Project is also great but more of a beer nerd haven.
City Museum is great.

Hopefully Cards are still playing in October. That's a no brainer, even if you just go to Ballpark Village, which is right at the stadium. Most locals have tired of the scene there but I'd recommend for visitors, especially if it's playoff time.
City museum no brainer if you like museums. The St. Louis Zoo is free. It's in Forest Park and the Science Museum/Planetarium, Arts Museum and History Museum are there.
Do NOT go north from the stadium or Forest Park. Pappy's is solid. The Hill if you like Italian food. If you're into gambling, I would head west towards St. Charles. It's only 30 minutes or so.

-Cathedral Bascilia (close to St. Louis University) - you deserve to be mugged if you do not visit here.
-City Museum (especially if you have children)
-Soulard neighborhood
-Ballpark Village
-360 rooftop bar at the Hilton
-Lafayette Park
-St. Louis Zoo
-The Shaved Duck and Blues City Deli were good restaurants that I remember going to
-Downtown St. Charles, MO - nice and quaint.

If your into the haunted house scenes then The Darkness always rated one of the top haunted attractions in the country, the Lemp Mansion over by the AB brewery
