Oh, my former boss use to get each of us a pie for Christmas. Don't stand between me and Charlotte's coconut pie. You'll get yourself hurt.

Conway/Maumelle/Benton/Bryant have grown tremendously and they are pretty nice towns imo.

ETA: I know nothing about Cabot

Craig's BBQ was always sold out of pies by the time I got there. I'm sure they're good, I just know Charlotte's was always delicious.

Since you brought up the Bluff, what's that fish place in Hazen named? We use to go there often.

Yeah, that's it. Excellent fried fish.

After Little Chef closed in Stuttgart, good fish got harder to find. Pies, BBQ and Fried Fish. Now I'm hungry. Miz Piggy started it.

Based on the brief restaurant/food discussion that has spun off your topic, I'd recommend you also consider the lovely hamlet of DeValls Bluff. You'd be real close to some good food

...and prime Delta poverty!

I would live west of the city if I were you. Somewhere off Highway 10, Chenal, Colonel glenn, or Kanis. Tons of land out that way. Just avoid north of the river.

Conway and Maumelle are within 30 minutes, but I'd stick to WLR.

Why?!?!?
I have friends & family living in both, and they're great communities to live.
I've lived in Conway. It has excellent schools, is a wonderful little college city, the people are super nice, & it's close to LR.
Both of these places are very solid choices.

Anyone familiar with the area? Kids are grown, good schools not a necessity. Would kind of like a country atmosphere.

Thanks

You should look around the area of Roosevelt and Wolfe St. Being from Baton Rouge, you will feel right at home. Plus you'll be able to afford it...

Because right outside of West Little Rock is prime "country"...

Schools aren't necessary to the OP and is working in LR...The commute to/fro Conway sucks if going the wrong way.

I used to travel it everyday. Baton Rouge is much worse.
I love the college town feel of Conway, but I love college towns. Conway was perfect for me since LR was so close, and there are some extremely nice areas in Conway, as well.
