I blame he owner, frankly. Stand or lose your job. You have freedom of speech, but doing something that harms one's business isn't covered. Do it on your own time. Not when you're on company time. It's pretty simple. The organization, by default, has chosen to buy into the disrespect of veterans and everything the flag represents, and all the positive things that America should be. And the NFL has bitched out. I'm happy not to contribute to watching any professional football this year and pleased to not spend my money on advertisers that support their positions.

Stop being a bitch. People fought and died so ppl HAD THE RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH AND PROTEST. This is a free country isn't it??? Or is it a damn dictator ship?? I'm getting a little tired of stupid motherfrickers trying to tell black folks or semi black folks how to protest and what to protest about. Getting a little tired of this line. News flash: most people aren't arguing whether he has the RIGHT to protest. Just because you CAN do something doesn't make it the best way to go about it. His method of protest has obfuscated the very point he was trying to make in the first place (a misguided point, but nevertheless).
Also, just because you have the right to free speech does not mean that others do not have the right to criticize you for how you choose to exercise it.

And this is the issue that I have. It just doesn't accomplish anything because the narrative is:
1. Beaten the frick to death. Everyone is talking about police brutality and the mistreatment of minorities everywhere on the internet, and in public discourse.
2. Useless because of an unproductive manner of protesting. Don't call attention to yourself. frick, if you've got the cash, start a foundation and use it to argue for you.
Just don't think you're doing anything making millions of dollars because your white family paid for everything growing up.

If this were truly how he felt the whole time, we'd have seen something from him in the Ferguson aftermath. Or when he was "kaepernicking" his way to the super bowl.
I'm not even mad about the flag. It's obviously disrespectful and meant to incite a reaction, but it's his right at the end of the day.
I just can't take him seriously when he times it like this, then follows it up wearing pig police socks and a Fidel Castro shirt (yes, I know he'd worn them previously).
