You can just ask a random U.S citizen if they were born after 1980. You’re welcome

Gen X
The generation that basically fought no war.
Had their head in their asses during the fake 90's boom, that resulted in the '08 crash, and the future crash we immaturely kicked down the road during the '08 drop.
The generation that raised the millennial generation that they now complain about.
The generation of men who started wearing dry fit polos to work and carrying 7 credit cards, rotating through the ones with initial 12 month 0% interest.

And we are done here. Some of you can pick up your faces and crawl out the door now.
Let us take a look at Generation X and the military shall we?
The 70s and 80s was mostly marked by a desperate attempt to rebuild the military after a certain generation, we won't name any names here, left it in ruins.
The Grenada invasion was the first time they saw combat. Then there was Panama, which was mostly by young men who were... Generation X.
Then Desert Storm, where almost all the real combatants where... Gen X. Then a half dozen little brushfire wars we were involved in.
Finally the current mess in where Generation X, for the most part, passed the torch off to those dastardly Millennials in the early stages of the war (the Xers are still seeing combat, they are just a bit higher on the food chain). A war, I might add, that is now being fought on the front lines increasingly by Generation Z.
What do all three of those generations have in common when it comes to the many conflicts they have been involved in? Every single one of them volunteered to be in the military and fight those wars. Not a one of them was drafted. They might not all have been thrilled to go there, but they all joined the military of their own free will.
Generation X fought several wars. Millennials? They've been at war since they were teenagers. Generation Z? Since they were small children they have known nothing but war.
Kiss my Generation X American arse. The last three generations have more then done their duty and they are still coming home in body bags.

FINALLY someone hating on my generation. For frick's sake, I was feeling so left out.
If by "heads in our asses" during the fake 90s boom, you mean working shitty jobs or fake "tech jobs that will soon evaporate", then yeah.
BTW, GenX is raising GenZ. Those are the only two generations who aren't completely fricked in the head right now.
Also, we were hating Boomers and moving back to central cities back before it was cool.
You're welcome.
