I've used an EGO for about a year in a smaller section of our yard where a riding mower isn't practical. Love it. I can't speak to battery life as that section takes less than an hour to mow. I don't really need the self-propelled feature as that section is relatively flat, but I imagine it would be very handy on slopes.

I've used an 18V weedeater for years on a small lawn. It did the job fine, but ran out of battery on larger lawns.

Recently purchased a 40V model and its better in every way. It's almost as good as my 4 cycle weedeater, but I still prefer the 4 cycle.

I also vouch for Ego products. Batteries are interchangeable as well.

Nothing cements your first home buy like spending more time fixing your lawnmower than mowing your lawn, it’s been tradition since the advent of the pull-cord ignition
