I've never understood rappers calling out other rappers. With a couple of exceptions, artists in other genres don't do this. Is most of it fake just to sell albums? Like rasslin'?

I think most beefs are fake to boost celebrity or more album sales. I think it’s hilarious how many dumbasses out there argue over who the best in the rap game is. I almost saw a fight happen between to guys who disagreed, and I was like, ‘y’all chill out, it doesn’t fricking matter at all’ and then they took that as fighting words. Hip hop fans who argue about stupid shite like this is what I never understood, and I feel like it’s the only genre that dumbasses have to argue about who the Goat rapper is. Seriously it doesn’t matter, why care?

Agree the beef thing is in the same vein as wrestling and people take it waaay too seriously. Back in high school kids dissecting the lyrics and going on about how genius the rapper is etc. Everything is projecting this tough image. Posting lyrics as a reply to shite and thinking it’s edgy. And Godzilla the soccer moms trying to be hip.
