She's attempting to manipulate the jury. She wants life, but she's acting as if the jury would do her a favor if they gave her death.
However, experts say that death is far more favored by killers. The reason is that people on death row have access to infinite appeals, segregation, and finer living conditions.
Sad to think that the worst convicts live far better in death row than lesser offenders...

Normally death penalty is more expensive, but if she waives appeals I wonder if it'd actually end up being cheaper than life in prison...
If so, go ahead and give her the needle.
Also, I think Travis Alexander's family should have the biggest say in her demise.

I thought I read that Travis Alexander's family wants her to receive life without parole - solitary confinement. They think that would be a worse punishment than death.

She stabbed him two dozen times, then slit his neck from ear to ear, then shot him. Not necessarily in that order - in reverse order actually, I think. I mean it was rage, jealousy, control and, most of all, premeditated. Then she lied her arse off over and over and over again.
She deserves the death penalty if ever anyone has IMHO.

Solitary for life would be the absolute worst kind of punishment a human can endure.
A week by yourself in a padded room is enough to make most break.

I understand what she did. However, the question is what is the worst punishment she can receive outside of insane physical torture?
I imagine that solitary confinement for the rest of your life would be far worse than a painless death.
Death would almost be a gift.

Don't know about Arizona, but in MS you can't waive appeal. You are automatically appealed every level all the way to the Supreme Court, all at taxpayer expense.

Life in prison would be worse than death IMO
I'm ok with my tax dollars paying to imprison a murderer.
That being said, give her the death penalty because she clearly is trying to manipulate the public.

True. She's trying to manipulate the jury into giving her life by claiming that she wants death.
However, the moment they give her death, she'll probably become an uncontrollable mess and scream, "I don't deserve this! God! Please, someone help me," as they drag her away.
I hope I get to see that moment on TV...

That's the problem. She won't be in solitary confinement.
She will be moving in with like minded people, get three meals a day, free health and dental care, and free cable tv.
In addition, in prison she would probably be a god(dess) to the other inmates. Sure a couple would try to knock her block off, but most will be in awe of her.
Death penalty, imo.

I'm reading comments bout how easy death row is for convicted killers. I cann't speak for any other state prison, but I know Angola is not a nice place at all, as my dad had to go there to get some oil & gas leases signed by prisoners & he always said how bad conditions were. And not that long ago, either. The ultra harsh Fed pen in Colo, where the Unibomber is held amonst other really bad asses is supposed to the harshest of the harsh when it comes to solitary confinement.
