I love Austin and the Hill country. Tbird is right about most people's second favorite city is usually San Antonio. Texas has a lot to offer along the I-35 corridor and east. West Texas is a desolate waste land that fortunately sits on trillions of dollars of oil that has given A&M a larger endowment than almost everyone in the SEC.

Most of the people who bitch about the confederate flag wouldn't even recognize it if they hadn't been told they are supposed to be pissed about it.

So no, I don't consider it racism. The south stood for a lot more than slavery.
