I gtfo out of the rubble. Na I love Selma though, for all of its greasy faults there's some character in that old river town
Wouldn't move back, but it'll always be home

Yeah I was thinking Diamondhead as well. They have a nice golf course that I've played before. Not terrible.

Alabama easy. I'd go down to Gulf Shores though.

I was in B-Ham 2 years ago when we played you in Tuscaloosa. I stayed in Hoover. Hoover was nice, but that's not B-Ham. I drove through B-Ham and said nope nope nope.

Huntsville is a nice area.
As far as the beaches, we don't have a lot of coastline, but what we have is beautiful.

Downtown is gentrified now

Fairhope is where it's at if you're trying to be near the coast. It's up there with Vestavia/Mountain Brook/Hampton Cove/Madison for well-to-do small towns.

Hoover blows dick and is the same as any other suburb in the country. What part of Birmingham made you nope out?

Probably decided to drive by Legion Field.

Alabama is one of the more geographically diverse states in the country. Mountains, caves, beaches, large rivers and lakes, a brackish delta. The geography is great

Driving on I-20 and noticing that it was still run down. Maybe there are nice parts, but based on my previous times in B-ham, I didn't want to try. Maybe next time.

Having lived in Florida AND Alabama, I can tell you that I prefer Alabama to Florida, and I would roll the dice on Mississippi before moving back to Florida.
However, I live in TN now and it's easily better than all 3.

So you formed your opinion without ever getting off the interstate?

Shhhh, don't tell anyone. I love going down to the delta or up to Bankhead and not seeing another soul.

I'll take you to Hot&Hot, Good People, Saw's, and a game at Regions field...your opinion might change.

I'd rather live in large parts of Alabama than anything in Florida, especially anything south of I-10.

I'm not sure I'd want to live anywhere between Mobile and Montgomery (maybe Lee County if I felt like being a masochist). The state changes dramatically once you get south of the hills/mountains....the northern half of the state is so much further ahead that it's not even funny.
