It was majestic af, y'all. And it was JACKED,you could see every muscle in it's shoulders and legs as it took each step. That boi was T H I C C

I had never one that wasn't behind glass or in a cage before and I know why now after watching that sneaky mfer disappear with the quickness into a kudzu thicket without even making a sound .

This has been your daily cool story, bro. Thanks for letting me share. Okay, bye

I saw one a few years ago with only two ear tufts sticking up out of the winter wheat. I told my dog to go get the "rabbit" but he wouldn't have any part of that "rabbit". A second later this "rabbit" bounces up and in about four bounces clears a woven wire fence and runs into the woods. It was gorgeous. A real-life Kentucky Wildcat.

I am envious. I see wildlife fairly often where I live... because the gumbo clay soil just eats up foundations. So our neighborhood is infested with Raccoons because they can easily get into people's attics.

Trash pandas are not so cute when it is your trash they are getting into. Or your attic they are living in.

Or ever.

I saw a rather large cat a few weeks ago. We have cats that love in the woods near us and will sometimes fight. I went to break up one of these skirmishes, but one of them looked to be 30-40 lbs. He was not afraid of me...at all. The smaller one darted into the woods, but the feline hulk just casually walked back into the woods, looking back at me periodically like "I dare you to follow me."

I beg to differ!

I saw a bobcat on the side of a hwy near Freeport, Fl. about a year ago. Really cool moment for me considering I have seen just about everything that calls these woods home over the years. Never ever thought i'd see one of those.

A few years before that a relative found a bobcat in his yard and after he posted pics of it on social media, a news crew came to his house

Growing up there was a kind of trashy family that inherited the house next door and moved in after their parents died. They had two dogs they claimed were half wolf, and those dogs were big af and seemed mean as hell, so I believed them. I was scared to cut the grass against that fence line when I was 12.

But my neighbor and yours were probably both full of shite, or mislead at some point, or just wrong. 9/10 dogs that people claim are half wolf aren't actually.

This one really was

But he was old as hell and could barely walk

I heard him growl once for like two seconds, a weak growl and then he had to go take a nap I think

I don't think the ones that lived next to me really were, but they were fricking huge and if they had really wanted to a think they were plenty big enough to hop that chain link fence between me and them. And they loved to run up and down it barking when I cut the backyard. And I was a tiny kid so cutting against the fence line was a little frightening. Just to give you an idea of how small I was in middle school when we lived next to them, in 7th grade at 13 yrs old I wrestled in the smallest weight class, 75 pounds, and never had to sweat about making weight like a lot of other kids

Last year i was able to capture a (very) short video on my phone of a bobcat on our back fence. We lived in an urban suburb of Dallas at the time.

Weird bump, but okay. A week or two after I posted this I saw a bald eagle in the same area which was even cooler

Sightings were within ~25 miles of each other and both kind of on the perimeter of the Oakmulgee district of the Talladega National Forest

I grew up on 40 acres surrounded by hundreds of wooded acres that I roamed. Only saw one bobcat, somehow I surprised him. Have only seen a half dozen in my life now.
They are there, they just usually always see you before you see them.
