Whitney Summit

Got altitude sickness there. Iceberg Lake on left and Upper Boy Scout Lake on right.

I only won the day permit so I started at 10 PM and got to the summit right before sunrise, but it was below freezing up there and I didn’t have any pants or gloves

holding the metal summit sign was painful

What happens on top of a mountain, stays on top of a mountain darn it.

So I'm guessing you didn't sign your name?

Sir, this is the SEC OT, not a Wendy's. This how a real man here signs his name when not wearing trousers.

And then the marmots came out and drank it all away... thirsty is all I can say.

Climbing 14'ers

None really these are more like slow walks and long hikes. Whitney has granny's walking up the backside and the front if not iced up is really not much of a climb. Elbert was with a fiance, like a date, but we certainly weren't roped up. She'd of kicked my sorry a--- that lady didn't play.

You just kept offering these easy ones.

Where once you acclimate they're like wild flower hikes that go on for another hour or so. Lets do hot springs next.... you can also get good pics from these.

Did you take any pics?

Any of them single and like to mingle?

(Asking, you know, for a friend)

You’ve done 14’s ??!!!

Holy Crap, that’s very impressive.

I think the best I’ve done was a 9 (but that was WAY “back-in-the-day”)

I’m usually good to do somewhere in the 5 to 7 range.

Unfortunately…I’ve done more 2’s, 3’s and 4’s than I care to admit.

That’s a valid concern.

In the end it’s all really subjective judgement criteria when you get right down to it.

…One Man’s “9” could easily be another Man’s “5”
