There are treatments for both that can be hugely successful. She'll need to find out the specific type(s) of cancer and the stages to determine what can be done to eradicate the cancer or extend the quality of and time of life if it cannot completely be eradicated/removed.

Y'all hang in there. There's so many options and advancements occuring daily in that specific field. My thoughts and prayers are with y'all!

I am so sorry to hear that. Like CG says there are a lot of innovative treatments out there now. If you ever need to vent or anything there is always someone here.

Cancer treatment has come a long way in the last 3 years. Stay positive and communicate with your sister and doctors as much as you can.

Awful news, but as everyone else has indicated-there may be a whole lot that can be done for her.

Just be there for her whatever the case may be.

Y'all are certainly in my thoughts and prayers.

Yep. Lost my brother 2 years ago to this terrible disease, and both my parents over 20 years ago.

I lost a sister last April. A total of 6 family members have had 10 cases of cancer of various types. All died.

My mom just recently got over throat cancer a few months back, you'd be surprised at the advances that medicine has made.

I was devastated but she was treated (with surgery and chemo) in about six months.

Don't ever lose hope.

really? breast cancer and ovarian cancer are very treatable if localized or regional. hopefully her doctor(s) are making her aware of that.

I’ve been dealing with cancer in my own family. Being positive has helped all of us and my Dad and step dad who both have it. Good wishes to your sister and family sir.
