I get that weed isn’t the worst thing for you, but it still has negative affects. Your lungs are only meant to process oxygen

This is not a proven fact. Its based on an observational study that does not take into account other potential causes for teen heart attacks. It also is not "huge" increase. .3% of all heart attacks happen in that demographic.
The primary focus is Cannabis Use Disorder, which is defined as a dependence on cannabis that impacts social functioning and the user is unable to control. LINK
Studies suggest that this effects some 10% of Cannabis users. As near as I can tell that roughly correlates with alcohol addiction... though alcohol usage is much, much, larger so we have far more addicts to alcohol.
The argument being made is that heavy and prolonged use of cannabis may slightly increase the risk of a heart attack at an early age. The problem is that we haven't done an in depth study on this.
We do know that there has been slight increase in cardiac events among younger people but researchers believe that is mostly due to an increase in Type 2 Diabetes, a richer processed diet, and more people living a sedentary lifestyle.
Considering large scale cannabis consumption is a relatively new phenomenon we are going to have to do some research into the topic. Above all we have to remember that correlation is not causation.
It might be the case that people who abuse cannabis products are far more likely to have other risk factors. Do they also drink too much, get too little exercise, and eat a diet rich in fatty foods? All of that will do the trick. There may also be some causation. At this point we don't have enough evidence one way or the other to make the call.
I'd say, based on a bit of research, that the odds of you keeling over if you light up a bowl on the weekend doesn't look to be too high.

We aren't going to watch a Youtube video, we are going to look at the article it links too because if I wanted to watch stupid Youtube videos they'd better have a cat or dog in them.

Folks just so I'm clear, you'd have to be naive or a moron to believe that weed causes heart attacks... That video is mocking the media... The jab is..

Is it though? How did our body get 2 types of cannabinoid receptors, spread to all major organs? I mean, if we evolved to have that, it seems to correlate with cannabis use being prevalent for a long enough time that all humans have them

I wouldn't say we've "evolved" to use it. Rather that we have naturally occurring receptors that react to it. We have been using cannabis related products for about 5 thousand years. That sounds pretty impressive but the Americas were split off before then and it didn't spread to Africa until fairly recently. Yet Africans and Native Americans get the same result from cannabis usage that Indo-Europeans get.
Did house cats evolve to use catnip or is a fluke of hereditary that it has an effect on some of them? We know, oddly enough that alcohol effects a ton of species. Elephants get drunk. Did they evolve to use it or does it work on receptors within the Mammalian cortex?
Studies have shown that cats and dogs can get "stoned"... they just react very poorly to it. Our primate cousins can get stoned. I do not think chimps were rolling a fatty for their big pimp daddy back in the day.
It is something that just happens to have an narcotic effect on us.
Large scale cannabis usage on dosage levels that would be noticeable is a fairly new thing in terms of evolution for a long lived species like man kind. There are probably all sorts of weird plants out there that we would react to. If they haven't gone extinct by now.

No I’m not. Cannabis is light years better for you than alcohol, tobacco, etc.
