I really hope DanMullenz4Lyfe (or whatever his name is) gets in here and provides some advice. I'm sure it would be very insightful (and possibly homoerotic).

I've heard they're a bunch of backward racists, but every black person I know who goes to Ole Miss says that they feel neither oppressed of prejudiced against there.

If you're 5'9" or taller, you should go to Texas A&M.
The food is terrible, the women are near non-existent, and the academics is sub-par but they'll probably worship you as a god or think you're a football player or something at that height.

It is weird you think this. The men at A&M are far taller than the rest of the SEC.

It's not weird at all. The last time I went to College Station, I felt like I was at a daycare built around soviet architecture. It took me twice as long to walk anywhere just to avoid stepping on you little guys.

Texas A&M - Home Depot satellite campus.

Not too mention all of the girls(all twelve of them) kept asking me if I played professional basketball(I'm 6'5").
But bless their hearts, they're enrolled at Texas A&M, so intelligence clearly isn't a favorable attribute of theirs.

Mcrebel is a pike? Least surprising personal fact ever given out on this board?

Nah trust me, its not because of grades. Will always love LSU, but had to get out of Baton Rouge and experience something new. That is one of my issues though. When saying I am going to Ole Miss, many suspect it is a grade issue.. Something we need to change of the school
I can definitely understand this. I imagine with a 26 you got a pretty good scholarship (I know that at Alabama if you get a 31, you get a free ride- which a 26 would proportionally be the same at Ole Miss).
Out of state tuition is a bitch. It's why I didn't even look anywhere else. It would just be ridiculous to go somewhere else when I actually get paid to go to Alabama.
What are your other options, by the way? And the admission standards mean nothing. The professors are going to be the exact same at any state school. Don't worry about not receiving a solid education. The only difference between the state schools is the student body- which are probably be just like any other Southern school

I had a 30 and didn't get a free ride

Ditto.
Did cover a nice chunk of my out of state fees however.

Well, at Alabama if you get a 31 (6 points over the average) you get a free ride (I think- at least it's a very good scholarship if not). A 26 at Ole Miss would be 6 points over the average. Maybe you guys have no money
