Fayetteville also has a nationally recognized awesome Farmer's Market, thrice weekly, from March to November. Its been going on for 40 years. We shut down the town square for it.
Ain't nothing White People Like more.
you can try, but you won't

A friend of mine moved there and said it was a bunch of wannabe Austinites on crack.

Fayettechill the brand has a little overlap with some stuff like longboarding, but nobody here would consider it a "hipster brand".
Check this out, its actually pretty sweet.
Mountain road longboarding...crazy shite. FC

frick you, WMR...Springfield is about to destroy your farmers market in about two months. Just ask Cheshire....

Bring it. The Fayetteville Farmer's Market has faced bigger challenges from better-equipped people.
And yeah, ironic graphic tees have been played for several years now.

I do really like the new Farmers Market over by Houlihans but yeah it still doesn't hold a candle to the Fayetteville farmers market on a warm spring day.

We can't determine that just yet...

True. It took the Fayetteville version many years to develop into what it is today. I remember going as a kid and it was incredibly weak to what it is now.

The Fayetteville Farmer's market is a hipster haven, and it happens like 100 times a year. You'll see hipster cloggers, a few little bands, a kid with a violin, there's a kid with a sitar, art, crafts, I bought a bluebird house, and a handmade cutting board and trivet.
Its like a little art event three times a week. Plus, organic produce, and they accept EBT (hipster).
Springfield's population is twice as large as Fayetteville. I doubt theirs is as good as ours, though.
Bentonville has a fine farmer's market. Rogers and Springdale do weekly ones, too.

Cheshire,
Have you seen what they've built behind Houlihans? That farmers market has yet to open, but will this spring. Yes, the tents that were between Houlihans and the Hilton were alright, nothing to brag about, but they've literally built a beautiful place just to act as an official farmers market located within shops, restaurants, and condos.
Plus, it's in walking distance to The Nature Center/Springfield Lake.
I'm somewhat excited about it.
