I Jumped into a pile of leaves from on top of a jungle gym when I was 12. Completely shattered my tailbone. Had to sit on a inflatable donut for 8 weeks.

a long time ago at the beach i drunk fell down the stairs leading to the beach. tailbone hurt for a few days

I had a buddy freshman year that broke his tailbone, it was hard not to laugh at him, but you could tell it was extremely painful.

If it only hurts in certain positions, odds are its just a bruise. Will be painful, but should get better quick. At least you don't need a toilet donut.
