Halloween costume ideas

Through 22+ years of marriage, I have successfully avoided dress up Halloween costumes (because I'm a man). But this year it looks like that streak will unfortunately come to an end. so if I have to do it, I want something clever. It needs to be a couples costume.
My preferred costume ideas so far:
1. My wife as the crazy airplane lady and me as Bigfoot
2. American Gothic
Any other good ideas?

Not sure, but you need to make it as embarrassing as possible for the wife, so she never brings it up again.

Me and the wife are going to a party dressed up as follows:
She is going to be Samara from The Ring and I'm going as either a big VHS Tape or a TV screen

Go as a tran couple, that should work well in the Deep South.
