Not sure how politicians and you being unemployed are related.

We are spending 10 million dollars an hour in Afghanistan, just think what we could do over here with that kind of money.

Exactly what we do with it over there: dump it into a big hole. You really think "if we just gave the politicians more money, they could finally solve some problems"?

Exactly. As if withdrawal from Afghanistan would magically make the federal government fiscally responsible

I remember when I used to think like those of you who are attacking the guy that's looking for work. Then I joined corporate America, got a good job, and realized from inside the belly of the beast that the deck is stacked against certain people. We all don't play by the same rules, that notion is a total myth

Unfortunately some people think they are owed a lifestyle.

Make yourself valuable, keep your bills low and you'll have no problem. Resourceful people don't stay unemployed, or broke.

I was unemployed for 8 months in 2012-2013 and then I found a job...900 miles away. I took it.

I can not fathom how people can not find a job over long periods of time. Jobs are constantly opening up everywhere. And employers do not automatically overlook someone who is overqualified if the job has a high turnover already. And all it takes is a little brain power to sell your overqualified attributes as being useful on the potential job.

That's the way resourceful folks do.

Friend of mine lives in New Hampshire, works seasonally in Ak. Does what he has to do to provide for his family. Sometimes that requires looking elsewhere for work.

You guys have a horrible attitude. If everybody decided to move just because there were better opportunities elsewhere there would be no America.

It's quickly becoming the nature of the 21st century economy. You have to move where the work is and it's easier to do than ever. We're never going back and workers will have to make these sorts of choices to keep up.

Actually, over 1.3 million people legally immigrate to the USA every year because there is better opportunities here. You should sit in the corner and think about how stupid your statement is.

My father is going on his 3rd job away from home. Such is life in an America where the main centers of manufacturing and economic output are changing.

This is what people have done....forever. They're hiring people out of the halfway houses locally because they can't find enough workers. There are plenty of places around the country a guy can go find work. If they want to.

It's just easier to blame someone else for them being unemployed for year or more though.

Invest in a welding truck get your 6g certification and go to South Texas. I can't count the number of welding trucks that drive over this bridge I'm rebuilding and we ain't even in the area where it's really blowing and going.
