If it’s a job that needs to be done, then it needs to be done right, which usually means you gotta do it yourself.
Pex is the way to go, and it’ll hold up longer than you can try to out live it.
One question about the “business-end” of the work though?…
…Backhoe or Ditch Witch?
Posted on 9/18/24 at 11:21 pm to SupperClubDrunkBus
Ditch Witch trencher with a rock chain and a backhoe attachment. Also had to use a small Bosch jack hammer.
Spent 3 hours on my side jackhammering sand rock under a concrete slab in 90 degree weather making a hole so I could run new lines to a cattle fountain.

Nice!!
Ditch Witch/Backhoe combo w/ a gnarly rock-chain (basically the equivalent of a “rock chainsaw”)…very nice indeed
Working smarter not harder.

You know?…
…you can go down to your nearest Home Depot/Lowe’s early in the morning before they’re even open and hire a couple of Mexicans or Haitians hanging around the parking lot to do that kind of $h!t ?

I would love that. Don't think I won't take you up on it. I always wanted to be a farmer type, own my own land and animals and just do what I needed to do every day. I'm very envious.

You should have just barged in

Of course, if I went and I would want to help, but after an hour of manual labor, I would probably be hurling in the ditch. Been a desk jockey for too long now.

It's a Ritchie fountain. Not sure I have heard about Nelson.
kywildcatfanone you and Army need to just road trip and I'll show you around. Water lines done so you all dont have to worry about getting pulled into helping on that.

That will work.
A lot of my cattle will eat cattle cubes or sliced bread out of your hand. Got slobberd on today while calling some up with a bucket of feed to a corral to catch them.

Nelson were stainless steel and had heaters so no breaking ice by getting there to the Farnall with no cab in 10 below. Fun times from my youth before those puppies.
