i think a lot of that has to deal with us being so bad from 05-07. i dont have the numbers in front of me but id bet on us having similar winning percentages from 2000-2002 and then 08-2011. kind of like how we only lost 4 games at kyle in the 90s. when youre good, you wont lose at home

2005 was such a weird season. we started off like 24-19, then tomjanovich steps down and the team went to shite under hamblen. i think we ended the year going 10-30 or something like that. only the 5th time we have ever missed the playoffs in our entire 64 year history

as of 2 years ago, the lakers had only lost like 13 playoff games at staples. i bet the spurs have an equally crazy home playoff record

Idk about the Spurs' home playoff record, though--we've had some pretty monumentally heartbreaking defeats in our own house, surprisingly.

--2003: First playoff game ever in AT&T, Stephon Marbury banks in a running 3 pointer from halfcourt to send the game into OT. Suns win game 1 in OT

--2004: .4. We're done talking about this

--2006: Lost game 7 of the WCSF to the Mavs in OT. Everyone remembers Manu's ill-advised foul on Dirk that allowed Nowitski to tie it up on an and-1 going to the rim, but people forget that Manu had just hit a HUGE three to cap off a scintillating 20 point comeback for SA. That one STILL hurts--almost as much as .4 tbh.

wed just go 2 handed, anything above 13 brings you back down to 13. getting tipped AT 13 brought you to zero. too many times id be at 18, 19, etc and then get tipped to go to 13. and then get tipped right after to go to zero

Once you get to 17 you start missing FT's on purpose trying to just rim it back to yourself.

dont even get me started on heartbreaking defeats

2006-we are a lamar odom rebound away from upsetting the spurs in 6. but lamar doesnt do what hes supposed to and kurt thomas picks up the long rebound and drills the wide open 3 to send the game into OT which the suns win. they then win game 7 in phoenix to cap off the 1-3 comeback

2008-the only time we will EVER talk about this series. lakers blow a 24 pt lead in game 4 that leads to the lowest point of my sport life in game 6. game 4 was when we lost the series. there...we are done with this. the 2008 finals never happened

2011-we blow a double digit lead to dallas in game 1 which kind of just made everyone realize that there were serious problems to that team and that we werent going to walk to our 4th straight nba final appearance after you guys were eliminated by memphis
