The BBC version is the best version out there. It's not even close. Clarkson, May and Hammond just make me laugh. They have chemistry that the others don't.
Plus the film making and writing for the show is masterful.

This. Been watching Top Gear online for 10 years before I got BBC America.

The only reason I got BBC america was for top gear. I think the History channel version is getting better as far as chemistry is concerned. But they do everything the BBC version does. I wonder if top gear Australia or Germany is the same way.

Cool I'll check it out.I tried to get into the American one but those dudes are annoying.
If you get a chance some great "bits" to get a feel for the show are:
The Reliant Robin (the three wheeler that's in the earlier gif)
Trying to destroy a Toyota Hilux
The amphibious car competition (Toybota)
Anything involving a camper van
All of their Christmas specials
I think, the first American challenge was going from the Florida Panhandle to NOLA.
The next American trip where they were only granted visas if the program was educational (not entertaining)
There's tons I'm leaving out, but I'm sure all the fans on here will instantly recognize these challenges even from my crappy explanations

This. THe American version is entertaining but the BBC version is flat out more knowledgeable and car crazy.. Tanner foust is one heel-toeing sonofabitch..

This. Especially on the open road features. I remember watching him drive on his supercar show back in the day. Bastard also did all the hard stunt driving in Tokyo drift.

Only right answer is BBC
the American version is like a cheap, knock off
I cant stand it

If you actually like cars, just look at the amount of cars each one reviews.
BBC Top Gear = at least one per episode
American Top Gear = 3 or 4 the entire season
I hate to miss a BBC show, but couldn't care less if I miss one of the American ones. They just do the activities that the BBC version does, without testing new cars. BBC producers make the US version and I am guessing they think that is what people want to see here

There is an American one?
That piece of shite show doesn't deserve to be associated with the BBC one.
My favorite is still the Vietnam Scooter/Motorcycle transforms into a Boat adventure. Loved the gifts they bought each other.

The BBC version is so much better in my opinion, Jeremy Clarkson is so funny, and the things they come up with on that show are so great. Driving the big rigs, the blimp episode, the camper van episodes. I haven't seen an American episode that comes close yet.
