When I lived in that area, a few days before 9/11 I'd go to Mike Spann's resting place at Arlington National Cemetary and make sure it was clean. I'd wipe all the dust and pollen off of his headstone and had some gardening scissors to detail anything the Old Guard accidentally missed.

from Guin/Gu-Win/Winfield Alabama I believe.

At 5:15am this morning a men's fitness group I'm a part of did an 11,000 stair climb at the local stadium to represent the firefighters who climbed all the way to the top with no elevators.

Doing it that early means you're in darkness with only your teammates to keep you going. It was a really incredible experience

Had a Lebanese-American from Brooklyn in my unit on 9/11. After previously passing on the opportunity, he signed up for RIP after 9/11 (now called RASP), didn't make it, and ended up eating a lot of Afghan and Iraqi dirt with the 82d and 173d.

But I'm sure you listening to Toby Keith on your trailer porch steps did more than he did.

Wonder how the UK is doing with all their mass immigration... What the other poster said has nothing to do with military actions or your unit... just because you don't see the ill effects of mass immigration or acknowledge them, doesn't mean others don't.

You used you own little story in your own little world to justify you feelings. Maybe others can do that too.

For about a week, we were unified. I'm not sure it lasted a week. Maybe five days. That is the event that turned patriotism into a religion. It's understandable in some way, but it gave us long term damage that we still see today.

I'm assuming this is about Mcveigh being a Christian. He told Time Magazine that he was no longer a practicing Catholic but he still believed in God and the faith. It was also said he was heavily influenced by the Christian Identity Movement, which I'm not familiar with.

I am a Christian and would never deny my faith. But we have rotten eggs amongst us as much as any other religion.

I'm not trying to start a fight but some people are in denial about OKC. Lots of misinformation about the event.

Maybe you should figure out who is facilitating and encouraging the mass immigration.

It isn't Muslims.
