Never heard of it. Might try it out next time I come home, I see they have some locations up north.

It really good (one of my favorites), especially if you like onions.

Their original burgers are usually a patty and-a-half with special sauce, onions, pickles, and cheese.

Fries are crinkle cut with a cheese/salt seasoning. I like to dip them in the original sauce, but they have added different other sauces over the years.

Their sweet tea is sold in grocery and convenience stores throughout the state, in gallon and single-serve containers.

Give it a shot if any of this sounds like something you'd want to try.

My wife likes their sweat tea, so I'm sure we'll give a try if we can.

I've never heard of that one, but I do enjoy both dogs and suds.

Do they have good slaw dogs?

It's a Midwestern chain. Not many left sadly but what few are, are still great

No idea if their slaw dogs are good but they do have them. Their burgers with coney sauce and self named root beer are both awesome

Worst fries ever, always soft and musky, no crisp at all better to get another burger. Tea's ok if you dilute near 50 percent*. Stopped going to after they went chain crazy and no longer just the original store. The old man's quality control went kaput.

Unfortunately I have to agree. The original stores were superior, IMO.

At some point I believe the family expanded the menu to appeal to a broader customer base, but they lost the specialized nature of only offering a few items and making those really, really well.

Should be #1. It's honestly disrespectful af the shitholes you put ahead of them tbh

A lot of y'all have probably only just recently discovered Culver's as they've started moving south, but as a kid when we'd visit my grandpa in the Midwest he'd always take me there. I can't explain how happy I was when they built the one in Hoover not long ago, bc up until that point the closest locations were in Murfreesboro, or Bowling Green, KY depending on which way you drove, and I'd always make a point to stop when driving through either of those towns

I went to Culvers today for the first time. Normally when I'm out that way I eat Chick-Fil-A which is right next door.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the money either.

I got a double butterburger and some fries. It was good, the burger reminded me of a pan fried home burger. I generally prefer the grilled flavor closer to DQ and BK. But it was a good burger, and the fries were also good.

My wife got the jumbo shrimp meal. A 6 piece was almost $10...and doesn't come with a drink. She got coleslaw and fries as the sides. Surprisingly, she did not like the coleslaw at all, normally she eats the hell out of it. She said everything else was pretty good, but could have just gotten the same thing for a few dollars the grocery store.

She also got a strawberry shake for a drink. Said it was way better than DQ shakes and probably the best shake she's had.

I got an order of cheese curds on the way out. Which was actually the reason I wanted to go overall to start with, but almost forgot. Those were really good.

I could see us stopping off sometime for some cheese curds and a shake. But overall I doubt I'll go there again. I could have gone to Chik-Fil-A next door for about half the price, although I probably wouldn't have left as stuffed as I did.

Well Milo's sponsored Bo Nix, so they must not have great taste.

I guess I'll have to take them off my list since eating there means I'm supporting Auburn football now.

Y'all went to a burger joint from WISCONSIN, who's menu is based around dairy/butter and is famous for their frozen custard... And she orders shrimp?

Between that and marrying you, idk if I would trust her decision making.

Tbh it only reaffirms my good tastes that Culver's is top tier quality fast food, if your family isn't a fan.

I already knew you were white trash, but listing Krystal and White Castle as your favorite fast-food chains just confirmed by bias.

Like:
- Sonic
- Whataburger
- Backyard Burger
- Jersey Mike's
- Quiznos
- Chik Fil A (namely for fast service)
- Dairy Queen
- Culver's
- Popeye's

Meh:
- Taco Bell
- Chipotle/Qdoba (is there a difference?)

Dislike:
- McDonald's
- Wendy's
- Burger King
- Subway (painfully mediocre and expensive, ingredients never fresh)
- Krystal/White Castle

Nope:
- Panda Express

I'm going to say Sonic is generally underrated. Quality isn't anything to write home about but you've got to appreciate the diversity of the menu. I'm not big on fries so I like having the option to go tots, onion rings, jalapeno poppers. Bacon cheeseburger toaster is pretty solid and a decent amount of food for the price.

I don't eat seafood, so she doesn't get the chance to eat it very often. That they had a "seafood option" was actually a positive.

And if you think a fast food burger is that important that you must order it off the menu, then I really don't even know what to say really.

Are you not able to cook better burgers yourself and is fast food not just an option for when you are too busy to do so yourself? I mean hell, if I just want the best burger possible, I'm firing up the grill. Or if I wanted something like Culvers, just pan fry them.
