I just got back from an interview at an unnamed SEC school, and it got me thinking..
What other schools in the SEC would you work at?
excluding your own, where would you rank the other schools in the conference as a place of employment and potential for living in that town longterm.

Working for a university is a typical government job. Easy work, great benefits, minimal requirements. What's not to love.

I'd work at UA, UF, UM, LSU, UGA, TAMU, MSU, USC, Vandy, or Arkansas
As a UA grad at AU it would be tough. Missouri and UK are too cold. I hate the city of Knoxville.

If you know anything about working in academia, you'd know that (department politics aside) almost every SEC school would be a great place to work and tenure-track positions are anything but easy.
