Dream Interpretation

Every now and then I have a very vivid dream that shakes me. I'd say 90% of my dreams I forget, but every now and then there's one that sticks with me and dominates my thoughts for a day or two.

So last night I had one of those. I ran into a girl I went to high school with. I would say we were just casual acquaintances since she was a year behind me. Never really hung out with her, and can't remember ever having a conversation with her. I saw in her in a bar a few years after high school, and she told me she had a crush on me in high school, but I had a girlfriend at the time and didn't pursue anything with her. Haven't seen her since, and haven't really even thought of her since then. In last night's dream she was in town with a group of her friends and they were eating at the same restaurant I was. She was gorgeous and we chatted and I convinced her to join me and my wife at a concert we were going to after dinner. Well, I gave her directions to the bar, wife and I got there and she never showed up. In my dream I was devastated. My wife didn't think anything of it, but it was like she had broken up with me. Like I woke up with a broken heart.

What the hell does this mean? Seriously, it's been 20 years since I've seen this girl, and almost as long since I've given her any thought. I never had strong feelings for her, though she was attractive. And things are great with me and my wife. I've never cheated, and never would, so I don't think it's my subconscious wanting to see other girls or anything.
