No, Christmas is the best holiday so long as you stay away from the secular Santa garbage.

Yeah I usually just turn my phone off..I am thinking about calling Verizon and just have the voice mail turned off for a month or 2.

If you have a good family then Christmas is awesome if you focus on them.
Otherwise, if you are engrossed in the consumerism or a shitty family, I can see where it would suck.

I mean probably depends where you are.
If you go out in that shopping mess, then probably. But I don’t. I see family, people at work, people at the bars. All those people are in better moods.

I like it. Aside from religious reasons and getting see my family again, you get magical moments like going to stores on Christmas Eve and watching the people in panic who haven't finished shopping yet

What’s your favorite holiday then?
I don’t share your bah humbugedry but I can relate to hating a major holiday. Personally I hate Halloween and have nothing to do with it. Not for religious reasons or anything, I just really really dislike it, have since I was a kid.

jk All the present buying gets under my skin unless it's for children. I don't need presents and I shouldn't have to buy shite for other adults that they can purchase on their own.
What I do love is our house being decorated. Sitting in the dark in my living room with the tree lights a mixed drink and headphones on. I'll miss it when it's over.
Getting to see family I normally don't get to see through the year because of the grind.
Find the things you like about it and focus on that.

Yes and this is why UM was saying Christmas should be like thanksgiving. Its not about giving presents to one another, it is (aside from celebrating Jesus' birth) a day to be with family. I look forward to it because of that

Nah...this morning. Im sipping coffee. Bing Crosby is belting Carols on the new speaker. Kids playing with nativity scene. Mrs did the usual fantastic job decorating the tree...it was one of those mornings you just stop to take it all in
