Worked for a small local telecom company owned by two lesbians who were rich as shite and the supervisor worshipped the devil openly...very openly. Needless to say I worked a week and found something else.

I have an irrational fear of drowning, which is ironic because I love canoeing and kayaking. But anytime I'm doing that and we approach a rapid on a river I've never been on before, I get mocked because I like to pull out and get a good look at the rapid to see what I'm getting myself into. If it's a section of a river I've done before, I do it without much thinking.
Maybe it's not irrational because I once did almost drown while canoeing when I tipped over and my foot got caught in branches under the water.
