Just had liver and okra for dinner at it was tasty
Pre steam the okra till bright green and tender
Melt some fresh churned butter in a pan then drop in the liver for about 2 min a side
Drop the okra in at the last 15 to 30 seconds and serve hot
Turned out pretty good.

fricking disgusting. I dont eat organs. Especially the liver. Do some reading on what your liver does. Its basically a toxin filter.

Which is why you eat calf liver not cow liver
Calf liver is high in copper, zinc, selenium, and iron and is much lower in calories than other cuts of steak. Eating calves liver can boost immune functions, help enzymes function, and boots hemoglobin in the blood. As an old guy who has eaten calves liver since childhood it seems to have been good for me.
Aside from being an excellent source of protein the liver meat of animals is high in vitamins A and B-12. Vitamin A is good for vision and is an antioxidant while B-12 is good for metabolism, red blood cell production, and short term memory in the brain. At my age this is pretty important.

I enjoy liver and onions. One serving that is. The iron gets to me after one serving.

How do you slice your onions, or do you cube them?
Do you bread your liver or just cook it in the pan with the butter and onions?

Two slices every 2 weeks or so and I am good.
