Know anybody that has done it? It's a sad thing. I've been depressed lately but try to steer clear of thinking or doing such a thing.
I've known one guy that did it. He jumped to his death from the top of a stadium.

This is when you need to go see a professional.

I put a shotgun barrel in my mouth after my brother was murdered and my mom became a full blown drug addict.
All I can tell you is that it will get better.

Truth.

Not seriously or anything. Just high school angst and hormones made me just briefly consider the possibility. I'm pretty sure everyone else has had a similar time in their lives

It'll be alright dog. I get the blues sometimes.

I believe so as well.
Had a best friend do it. Was a smart, semiprofessional young man. Got on drugs real bad and was gone in 3 months. I honestly believe he was so fricked up he didn't realize he was actually doing it.

Yes. About 6 years ago. Very dark time for me.
Not worth it, though.
GET HELP. Best recourse. Prayers for you--I struggle with depression too, believe it or not.

Trust me....I'm not thinking it. I do suffer from depression from time to time and when it hits....it hits hard.
I was just in one of those depressed moods and I figured I'd ask the question.
A couple years ago, I did consider. I had some insulin and a needle. I had the syringe filled all the way up and the needle in my leg. At that point I realized how precious life was and how stupid I was being. I just learned to live with the depression.

No, I have a tough time imaging any circumstance aside from mental illness which would lead me to conclude suicide was the best option. I have enough good things in my life to fall back on in bad times.
I'll say that if you feel you have to kill yourself, at least have the decency to do it privately and and not make a scene. I had a friend in HS whose dad shot himself. He was on the phone with his son, said he was sorry and then did it right there on the line. His son went home and was the one who found him. Really awful stuff. Don't subject others to your act.

Your body already produces insulin. You take some by way of bottle/needle......it will drop your blood sugar rapidly. You pretty much take it and go to sleep/pass out.

My best friend killed himself my sophomore year of college (4 years ago).
It's a permanent solution to a short term problem. Get help. Doesn't have to be professional just talk to anybody. It'll help

Yikes, what an awful way to go that would. I've witnessed full-blown insulin shock, and it's something nobody wants any part of.

Jesus, dude. Sorry you went through that. Glad you decided to live with it.
I got mixed up in some shite my sophomore year that just about got me kicked out of school and out of my military scholarship. Scared the everliving frick out of me cuz I'd always been a toe-the-line type of guy and seeing how it could go downhill so quickly so fast literally turned my world upside down. Ended up just wandering from my dorm room and taking a LONG walk across campus. The A&M campus is huge and I must've been out there for a couple hours before my mom randomly called me and talked me out of my daze. Decided to live with whatever consequences may come--turned out to be nothing. I'm very blessed. Ended up starting a relationship later that year with the girl that I ended up marrying. Still struggle with depression on a nearly daily basis, but I'm not ever going to do anything to hurt myself because it'll hurt Mrs. Tbird and those I love more.
It's cliche, but it DOES get better

I've been on the receiving end of it many times being a Diabetic. It really does suck.

Every few days,
Can count on it like the sun coming up.
Only you know what triggers happiness for yourself, so try doing more of that. Excercising always seems to help, getting stuff done around the house gives a feeling of accomplishment, if you've been procrastinating on something just dive right into it and do bits and pieces of it each day, stay away from people that are toxic and degrading, go on a vegan fast for a couple days or make meal of comfort food, don't eat fast food or junk food for awhile or heavy setting fried meals.
I'm pretty much the pro-suicide guy on the board, 2 of my best friends killed themselves the last couple years and their families are wrecks now. I think if someone desires to no longer exist, our Bill of Rights guarantees the pursuit of happiness and if the will to no longer pursue happiness is there, then after 3 months of counseling and getting your affairs in order and giving the family a chance to discuss the issues and fix them, or acquiese to the wishes of death, then have a judge sign off and do it in a sterile manner that eliminates the trauma and mess the rest of us and emergency response personel are left with.
Anyhow, cheer up cowboy there's lots of greatness in this world to experience and be excited about. Hell Ole Miss' recruiting class should keep you going for at least a couple more years.

EVENTUALLY you'll pass out. Most people experience some combination of severe heart palpitations, seizures, breathing problems, confusion and delerium, headaches, hallucinations, intense sensations of heat/cold and a host of other things.
It's not particuarly quick and certainly not painless.
