coming soon....
His coverage of the riots was FAR ABOVE any other journalists. Can't wait to see what he does this go round.
More mom's like this, and we'd be better off as a society.
Tunsil?

ltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams on Monday rejected the state's case against Officer Edward Nero, acquitting him on all counts for his role in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray.
The judgment, which followed a five-day bench trial, is the first in the closely-watched case. Nero, 30, had faced four misdemeanor charges of second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of misconduct in office.
Prosecutors argued that Nero committed an assault by detaining Gray without justification, while the reckless endangerment charge related to Nero's role in putting Gray into an arrest wagon without buckling a seat belt. In closing arguments Thursday, Williams had skeptically questioned prosecutors about their theory of assault, which legal experts said was unprecedented.

I know at least one of the cops was black themselves but I still don't know how they could be acquitted.

The only person in this case who needs to be in jail is the prosecutor who pushed these bullshite charges

Wait. What? Name one crime that this officer acquitted today committed. Name the charge, and lay out your evidence. I'll wait.

Easy. Most are not guilty.
When they put him in the back of the van, he was fine. At most, the officers not transporting him arrested him without probable cause. They should be facing a civil claim for that but nothing else. The DA charged them in an act of political grandstanding and if the place burns again, it will be on her head.
Notice I said most are not guilty. The driver of the van is going to get convicted.

This but it's not like she gives a shite.
She is now the face associated with the Freddie Gray "movement" and will ride that into the Mayor's office or whatever else is on her political agenda.

Maybe, but that's going to be a tough hill to climb if she doesn't get convictions.
Any opponent can very quickly turn that around into a "look how incompetent she was as DA, and now she thinks she deserves a promotion?" sound bite campaign ad that would sell to both those that think they should have never been charged and those that think they should have been convicted.

You give the voting public too much credit for actually doing research and making an informed decision.
She will be painted as a hero because she took on "the man" and never had a shot of winning because it's rigged for police officers and the system.
