Just getting over the crud. Had it a week and half. Dayquil and Nyquil, hot showers in the AM to loosen the crap up and vicks at night.

Maybe it doesn’t lessen the symptoms but helps stop/ shorten the severity and duration of infection.

One other tip I haven't seen mentioned is drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated and keeping your fluids moving helps get rid of the crud in your system. Also helps keep the snot in your sinuses thin and easier to expel when you blow your nose.
