Common sense has been under attack since the 60s. My stepmother and I got into an argument last night about "the role of government". When she finds herself on the losing end, she falls back on the "it's the greedy insurance companies, and big corporations that are ruining this country" routine. Then she leaves her $400,000 house, in her BMW, with her iPhone and iPad to pick up a Panera bagel and Starbucks coffee on her way to work.
My dad used to think like me, but after 20 years, he's become one of those blue-dogs. I'm all alone out here.
