since its christmas time, I was wondering what some people have as ornaments on their tree that are unique to their family or team, or whatever.
I have several things besides kid ornaments that are on our tree including Mercury and Apollo space program ornaments, ornaments from various international trips, Auburn stuff of course, and some really old ornaments from my wifes family that go back to the 40's. and of course some fishing related ornaments including some antique lures (minus hooks) that were my late grandfathers.
Also...real tree or artificial? We've always done real trees. Kids have demanded it. But am thinking hard on whether to go to an artificial one next year if we find a great one on sale after christmas.
Whatchoo got?

Real tree, traditional ornaments, angel on top.
When my grandparents retired they bought a house in my hometown and a farm out in the country where my Grandmother grew up, that area turned to farming mostly Christmas trees (it's not good for much else) about 30 years ago and their farm came with about 100 acres of them. My grandparents kept up with it as a hobby for about 20 years but they're getting a little too old for it now. Everybody in my family flocks home to my Grandparents around Christmas so their house and farm are focal points of activities and they both have multiple trees. Main tree has this ancient angel and the other trees are topped with stars.
Here are some pictures of their farm, it used to be just covered in trees but every year there are fewer and fewer.

My/our two most prized ornaments are a glass clown's head that belonged to my dad - his parents got it for him when he was a kid in the 30s - and a sterling silver Santa that my grandmother bought for me for Christmas before I was born in January.
Wife and I both have a mix of old and new ornaments on our tree. This year we bought a second tree to put in the formal living room (main tree is in the family room) and have designated the new one our house divided tree - all of my Auburn ornaments are on the right side, all of her Tennessee ornaments are on the left.

Almost all of my ornaments were made by my kids. I’ve got these really special gingerbread ornaments with their hands imprinted in them, which my wife won’t even let me touch, because their so fragile.

We allow our UGA daughter to put UGA ornaments on our tree. On the back. Where no one sees them.
