Is there a reason yall picked Bama? I would have figured someone like Georgia or Toledo was a more natural fit.

I hate it for yall. Couldn't imagine it happening at A&M.

I could see where that chant could ruffle some feathers. Better to give it up like Ole Miss giving up Col. Reb. Society is evolving, so should Missouri.
so then Mizzou IS LIKE the SEC... make up your mind..

The Mizzou marching band used to play Dixie up until the 1960s. I guess we could always just go back to that since chanting "MIZ-ZOU" is just too damn racially charged.

Well done. Have an upvote.

Long Way To Tipperary/Every True Son is a little insensitive too, time to go. We don't need war songs at Mizzou.

I've always pondered why you chose your user name spelling.
Phonetically, it's miz - owe to those us that deal with the cajuns.

Yeah, it's a name thing. I've used it for 15 years and didn't consider the cajun angle/confusion with Mizzou when I signed up here a few years ago.
I've changed to Zeaux everywhere else, I know a change is pretty fricking useless to request here, though.

Excuse the vulgarity...
But what are the chances the crowd started the chant with N-I-G, instead of M-I-Z?

This was a golden opportunity to bring some sanity to these social justice debates and stand your ground, but Mizzou caved and opened the floodgates for this BS to spread like wildfire.
Have fun with that, here's hoping that BS doesn't start spreading to other campuses like I fear it will.

If the golden opportunity you refer to is being raked over the coals by the national media as the preeminent racist university in the US then....no thanks.
Auburn is welcome to speak up though.

If we ever had a similar situation, I damn sure hope we do or else you can bet your arse I'd stop all financial support of that institution.

seems like 98% of the black MU students like it in COMO and want to be there, I feel sorry for the 2% or so that are FORCED TO BE THERE AGAINST THEIR WILL.
