I highly recommend, after walking around the Island for a few hours, stopping in at Sloppy Joe's in the mid-afternoon for a Papa Dobles.

Might be the finest mixed drink I've ever had.

Key West appeals to two demographics.

"I'm young and stupid! I'll go do young and stupid things!"

And.

"I'm old enough and mature enough to enjoy things being just a bit wilder then usual."

I would not want to live there, for a variety of reasons, but it is a great place to visit about once a year.

Uhhhh, there’s definitely a 3rd demographic that you didn’t mention.

A buddy of mine was down there a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at a bed and breakfast next to the hemingway house. Said it was nice.

Well I had the heterosexual audience in mind with that.

It is one of the havens for people who have an alternative viewpoint on sexuality.

Enh. More power to them. I don't see the appeal but if they do I'm happy they have some place in the SE to go and enjoy themselves.

Whether you are gay, straight, or a fan of Alabama we are all worthy of respect. Yes, the first two more then the last but still, we should be inclusive.

Get out to the Dry Tortugas National Park. It is an awesome site to see and well worth the money for the trip.

I'd love to see that but with my inner ear problem I get seasick on dry land. Going out in a boat pretty well guarantees I will be throwing up the entire time.
