If someone wants to be called he/she/it/they/whatever... I'll try to remember to do so. It doesn't cause me any harm and it doesn't matter what they want to be called. Same with a married person wanting me to use their new last name rather than the one they were born with. It's fine with me either way.
I'm on the side of keeping female sporting events for those born female. The entire point of having women's sports is biology and that kind of does matter what you're born with. But a pronoun or a name? Who cares. If you want me to call you Mister Gwendolyn the big breasted male... I'll call you that.
