Who you got?

Fight has to take place in the ocean, obviously a fight on land would favor the croc, duh. I could kick a great white's arse on land without even putting my beer down.

Think so? Croc has pretty thick armor.

Great white. Open water maneuverability wins.

Oh dear. I already popped the gorilla vs grizzly debate balloon. I fear that in the real world sharks routinely feed on saltwater crocodiles. Salties/Niles/Ganges are magnificently designed as ambush predators for the shoreline and can easily kill an adult human.

Sharks are perfect for open water predation. In the ocean the shark eats the crocodile. Which is one reason why its rare to see crocodile very far away from land, though they can do it.

So... a large croc will eat a small shark. A large shark will eat just about any size crocodile it puts its mind too.

The good news for the croc is there very little chance it will be a Great White. Whites primarily feed on marine mammals. It might take a what is this bite out of the croc but its not its prey item of choice. A tiger shark is far more likely to hang around and go for the full course dinner.

Salties regularly feast on sharks. However, in a battle between the biggest and baddest great white (20') vs. the biggest and baddest saltwater croc (23') in the open ocean it wouldn't be much of a battle. The shark could rip open the croc with one bite.
