Anyone here ever installed artificial grass themselves?

I have small fenced in area in the backyard for our small dogs (~870 sq ft). It's in direct sunlight and it's been a battle for the past couple years keeping burgrass out of there - but I've been losing the battle.
Was thinking about maybe trying to install artificial grass in that area, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it. Was wondering if anyone else on here might have installed it themselves and if so - does it get too hot for dogs, the smell, etc...
Or, should I look at maybe something like micro clover that might survive back there instead?

I would reach out to the Universit of Tennessee to see if you can speak to their baseball field technicians.

That'll certainly look better than clover (and hell of a lot cheaper than artificial turf). I'll give bermuda a shot. Thanks!

I get my grass from the Daniel Boone.
Smoking artificial grass seems hazardous to your health.

Outdoor board or home and garden might get you some help too.

Thanks, didn't even realize there was a home and garden board.

Never installed, but have smoked it a few times.
