I guess I know where I'm headed for lunch.

There can never be too many barbecue joints.
I make a point to stop at the original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa when I pass through, but I’ll stop at this place in Birmingham instead next time.

Why? Go to Archibald's.

Because I like Dreamland. I’ve been reading up on Archibald’s. I’ll make a stop there, soon.

Birmingham is a great town to find good barbecue in.
Say what you will about the culinary tradition of Alabama, whether good or bad, but you can't deny its a state that loves its barbecue.

Co-worker went yesterday and advised to give it a few weeks for the hype to die down a little and the place to work out some kinks. He got the sense the staff was overwhelmed, but Rodney was making rounds talking to everyone there which he said was nice to see. Said the food was pretty good, but it took about 30 minutes to get it.

I thought about that after I posted.
I'll give it a try sometime soon, though.

I was actually in Avondale yesterday around noon and saw the crowd but didn't realize what it was for. I think I'll try for an odd time, like 2 or 3, on a random day next week.

Archibald's and Dreamland are both very underwhelming ribs. Hopefully this place is solid
