Never believed the only way to eternal salvation(if such a concept of eternity even exists, that sort of sounds meaningless) was accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Yes, it is.

I know it's all Jesusy, but I wish people knew there were some of us out there that can still have a strong opinion without hating anybody.
There are plenty out there, but religion, for lots of people is a social convenience, and it's one dominating the realm of finding a spouse, especially in Texas. Groupthink and aggregate opinions dominate such things because they want to sit their and nod their heads and seem righteous. Openly disagreeing with a pastor/minister/preacher is not something people do. The perfect example to me was Breakaway. The anti-gay Breakaway was one of the most bigoted, disturbing, pseudo sciencey and ridiculous things I've ever witnessed. And intelligent(or what I assumed intelligent) Aggies just went about like it was normal. It was appalling. I'm not gay. The first time I saw two dudes make out it made me squeamish. I do have trouble treating some of my friends that have come out the same way. I have used gay/**** in a mean way far too often in my life, and when I was a young adolescent male insecure about not constantly slaying every hot piece of arse I wanted, I had some pretty negative opinions about gays.
Still. The Biblical justification for any of that is just ridiculous, and I wish Christians that weren't so insecure would just admit that other Christians are using the Bible to justify their homophobia. It's sad.

Yep. Country Club Christians

Correct. It is sad they do. We are to love our neighbors and by showing love the world will see we are Christ's. God is the ultimate judge. And He's far better to be so

you can't prove shite.
I can reasonably assume, however.

Yes he does. Everyone needs forgiveness, gay or straight.
So you need to apologize to God/Baby Jesus for being straight and for being gay? That doesn't make sense. Being gay isn't any more of a sin than being straight. Sexual attraction is a part of the human condition.

Did I say people need to repent for being gay straight? I said all people need to repent. All people.

Your response indicated that, yes. Unless you misread what I said.

I may have missed you meant or I may not have phased my post to get to what I mean.
What I mean is that Christians do not need to just to target gay people. I meant the church needs to deal with all people as a whole and not just signal out one group of people. It's ironic to hear and anti-gay then watch the church people go to buffets and commit the sin of gluttony. I am Evangelical but I am more about taken it to churches in America for getting away from teachings of the Word and going crazy over the crap like people like Joel Osteen

It's only ironic because homosexuality isn't a sin, but gluttony is, IMO.

I'm inclined to say both are, but I know for many they wee born that we, along with other issues. So I'm studying and may refine my theology.
But gay straight all are in need if the free grave God offers unto us

I find it ironic that no one has found an established religion that accepts the homosexual lifestyle. No one has linked a civilized nation that has condoned homosexual marriage.
Yet the christians are the ones that should die a slow death because they are behind in times.

Why does anyone care what other consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home?

Because it's against their bible and believe everyone should follow it.

Because it makes me feel bad about the fact that I'm not getting any.
