What they were really doing was giving just enough to set up HBO for their spinoff. If they revealed too much about the WWs or about the history of the Starks/Winterfell it would shoot that next show in the foot.

No doubt. GOT has made them a ton of money. I did not bother with HBO before it as Im sure many others did not as well.
And with amazon warming up the 1 billion dollar LotR show, HBO wants to keep the gravy train flowing.

Only reason i even knew what game of thrones was is because i was high as frick one sunday right after season one had finished and i could watch the whole thing in a day. was hooked

No worries. I still think if I'd only watched the show it'd still have been bad.

Imagine you're watching the Return of the Jedi and we're at the final duel between Darth Vader and Luke on the Death Star. They're duking it out, you've spent six years waiting for this and two and now one half movies looking for this conclusion. Vader gets Luke on the ropes and then out of no where a blaster bolt comes and hits DV in the skull killing him instantly, a half moment later the Emperor meets a similar fate.

The Camera then pans to Lando Calrissian, cape flowing in some unexplained wind, smoking blaster in hand. He smiles at Luke, winks, and says "Not today kid".

That's what happened last night.

that was hilarious.

But i counter that with I havent spent as much time getting invested into Lando. I was stoked about Ayra handling it. Thats just me.

you're right, Arya had more investment so Lando was a bad choice, imagine Han doing it. We love Han, he's a main character with his own lane but this just isn't it.

ah man ignore me, I'm just bitching. It's a good show. The episode was fun.

HAHA @ you thinking to yourself..."Yeah why the frick did i type Lando. wtf"

I get it though. I see what you mean. I guess for me shes probably my favorite character and storyline so i thought it was fitting. Plus id totally forgot about what she was doing so it did catch me off gaurd

Everything was building to show some reason they wanted to kill Bran, was Bran the actual NK? Was he the Night’s King as well? Was he Bran the Builder?

Because they wanted to destroy the living and the Three Eyed Raven is the memory of the world. Kill him and it's like the living never existed at all.

Bran literally explained that the week before. Do you even pay attention when you're watching?

You must be real fun at parties.

Yea it's in a Storm of Swords, which is, coincidentally, also the title of the chapter about Vols' college years in his autobiography.

The episode was tense, and I felt legitimately scared for many of the main-characters throughout but man what a lackluster, sad, short and anticlimactic ending.
