Why would I want to hangout in a middle of nowhere part of Alabama? Plus, I don't like hicks, country music, people that sound like Boomhauer from King of the Hill, and cutoff jean shorts.
You are so fricking cool. Teach me your ways.

Depends on what part of West Alabama you're talking about. I've been all over Alabama and the last place I want to party at is some rodeo. Not to mention I'd stick out like a sore thumb, because I don't know any David Allen Coe lyrics.

I would, but you would have need to start your training young. It's kinda like a Jedi thing.

You sound bitter
And to the rig, there are a couple of people with parking passes, but as we discovered last year, there is a finite number of people that can fit on and in a truck. Sitting in that traffic with twelve people in the cab of a truck kind of sucks.

He said they were getting charter buses this year too. I'll believe that when it happens
The last 2 years I've taken a charter bus to and from Rodeo.
They pick up at some field close to campus off of wire I think. Not positive on the road but we all just parked our cars there and they had charter buses constantly shuttling people back and forth.

About what? Not going to a rodeo? shite, you got me. Can I barrow a razor blade? I need release my pain.
I mean, I'm sure people that go have a blast. That's their thing, I just don't see the appeal. I'm from Alabama and I love my state, (Not all the people.) but that doesn't mean I have to live up to a stereotype. Hit me up when 311 or Soundgarden are playing a festival together at anywhere else other than some field, and I'll buy the tickets plus all the booze and dope you can drink and smoke.

You talking about the intramural fields right by new row? I'm pretty sure that's where they pick up, but I've never stuck around long enough to see how they work all that. It's a day drinking event, so I like to get there early.

Cool, I'm so happy that people are "more well off" than me.

I think they pick up at like 8 or so. And yeah it's close to the IM fields I think it was off Donahue now that I think of it. Pick up at 8 and drop off whenever you can get on at the end of the day.

So you don't like feel good care free atmospheres? It's not about being a stereotype, it's about hanging out with friends, and having fun. Besides, there are worse stereotypes.

If you'll noticed, I said that a rodeo is some people's appeal, not mine. I hope whoever is going has fun and safe time.

Oh I'm a blast. There's nothing like having a nice glass of scotch, while reading the WSJ, and finding out how my stock did today. (Probably down a few points.)

He listens to Soundgarden. What so you think?

So you don't like rodeos, so you came and posted in a thread abut a rodeo?

Go back to my first post, I said:

I'm sorry, I've just never got the appeal of this, and after watching that video, I learned why.
Then, everyone jumped on me like I was a leper.

This sounds like it would even make it worse. Not only do I have to put up with rednecks, but also people pretending to be rednecks.
